First Release OXID Team

| Posted by team6 | Permanent Link | Live Announcement

Hoi folks,

as promised we make our first public release. Actually not much is there - just the pages which will be used, login is working, and registering a new user is working. Editing, Saving, etc. everything else is just faked.

Nevertheless we want you to participate. What you actually could test, is the session handling. With cookies enabled there should be no session but you should still be logged in when changing pages ( use admin/admin for login). When you switch off cookies there should be a session id added to all links.

What does NOT work and is also not intended to work at all is switching off cookies during browsing.

Any feedback is welcome.

Smooth move to be able to save a result by clicking next or back. Tho it's really a bit confusing to click back button on last question to save the result.

Where can I see added contacts?
If I try to add a contact and wait for confirmation, after visiting the search page again the "wait for confirmation" state is gone and add this contact can be clicked again. (reload of page results in same as visiting search again)

Is the search working properly yet? Dunno if or how many ppl are registered yet, cuz search results in nothing for me. Just sends me straight to the welcome page.

Are all the possible contacts on the bottom of the search page all dummies? ('cause they all got same name)

Good luck, guys!

In last question the forward button is disabled so you must use the backward to anwsering.

Hey, the registration doesn't work!

"Please register here" (referring to http://team6.plat-forms.org/user/index/) immediately redirects to http://team6.plat-forms.org/index/index/.

Hi folks!

When registering (Firefox 2.0.0.1) likes and dislikes get lost.

Looking forward to see more :)

Have fun!

Clicking on "Register a new account" - the form will be displayed. Clicking on the submit button without entering anything - an error message appears "Login exists, please choose a new one". This is not logical. :-)

Good luck!

Most of the described and reported bugs are fixed with next build

Well I don't look here so often only when I take a break for eating. For me it doesn't disturb if there is negative feedback. What we want to show is the process of development - we do not claim that there is any working software.

So for sure it would be more nice to release something perfect but this we - hopefully - will only have tomorrow. Until then we will amuse you with buggy and not working stuff :)

I hope you still like it. And we will try to make a newer version soon available.

Note that I didn't login as the admin. I tried registering a *new user account* and got logged in as the admin. I find that pretty weird.

Anyway, I think you probably should only make your stuff public tomorrow - hence you'd expose yourself less to this sort of "negative" user feedback. You'll probably have a much more mature system by tomorrow.

well, you can change the admin password without knowing it before. just register and click save, and you get the admin-data. fill in your new password an click save again.

Well some child "hacked" the account. Quite impressive to write something about hacking when I gave the login/password and editing information...

We are impressed... ;)

I was just trying registering and, unfortunately, it seems someone already hacked it.

Here's what the result looked like after trying registering:

I wasn't able to login after registering too.

if I try to register with same credentials, I get an unfriendly message:
"SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1062 Duplicate entry 'aurimas' for key 2"

I think user interface is not important for you in this state, but password field could be of type="password"...

Sessions works, but registering.. You need some more validation - if do not enter any data while registering I see error "SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1062 Duplicate entry '' for key 2", and it starts to show I am longed in, I can see pages for logged users.

I wasn't able to login using admin/admin, but have registeded successfully.

Afterwards, I was able to login/logout either by using cookies or without cookies - same result.

I could successfully login (using cookies) and browse through the pages.
But after login out (using "Logout") I can not login again.
I tried again with cookies turned off, but still the same result.

Nice look.
Logging in with admin/admin does not work (Invalid Login). Registration works. However when I try changing the password, it actually saves the new password, but afterwards I am in the admin account, where I was in the user account Bla/blub before. When I log out, I can log into the user account with new password.
I changed the admin password to "admin", after saving the new users password as well. Now I can log into the admin account with admin/admin.
