Teams from the following home organizations participated in the 2007 Plat_Forms contest. The link before the name gets you to the system the team delivered at the end of the contest, so you can try them out yourself:

Neither Python nor Ruby nor, surprisingly, .net had a sufficient number of sufficiently qualified applications. In order to ensure the quality of the teams, we have thus not included these platforms in the contest this year.

However, since both a "conventional" platform (based on a statically typed language: Java) and two platforms based on scripting languages (Perl, PHP) are present, the contest will fulfill its intended purpose perfectly.
